Gary Lee Dulley, 84, passed away April 4, 2023. Gary was born in Cottage Grove, Ore. Jan. 6, 1939 to parents Grant and Margaret (Castle) Dulley.
At the very young age of 16, Gary started working in the timber industry as a logger, and also worked as a diesel mechanic, maintenance manager, and millwright. He married Karen L. Viken on Nov. 20, 1965 in Reno, Nev.
Gary enjoyed fixing and repairing cars and being a “girl dad” and papa. Gary was a big Oregon Ducks fan and watched Portland Trail Blazer basketball. Gary also liked vintage cars, bald eagles, American flags, outdoor gardening, mowing, and watching old westerns. He had a lot of John Wayne memorabilia, and loved Elvis music.
Gary is survived by his wife, Karen, of Creswell, Ore.; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Swindell, of Brush Prairie, Wash.; daughter, Karlia (Leslie) Gingrich, of Minihaha, S.D.; daughter, Tambrea Aguas, of Springfield, Ore.; sister, Charlotte Cline; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alanna Wilson; granddaughter, Jennifer Wilson; brothers, Daniel and David Dulley; and parents, Margaret Rowe and Grant Dulley.
There are no services held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
