5:41 pm: Trespassing, Cottage Grove area … Summary: The suspect, who is a family member of the reporting party, had fled the area on foot prior to officers’ arrival. An area canvas was conducted and was ultimately concluded with negative results. An ATL alert was placed into the CGPD database.
6:39 pm: Trespassing, Grocery Outlet … Summary: CGPD received a call about a possible drug transaction in progress. The officer arrived in the area and observed a posted “No Trespassing” sign on the business wall. Two suspects were contacted and verbally trespassed from the property before being escorted off of it.

4:47 pm: Drug activity, Cottage Grove Liquor Store, 1785 E Main St #3 … Summary: Call alleged a juvenile in the parking lot of the Cottage Grove Liquor Store possibly purchasing narcotics and alcohol. Upon officers’ arrival, the juvenile was accompanied by his father, who was the reporting party. Two parties allegedly made a transaction with the juvenile to purchase alcohol and marijuana but the claim was unsubstantiated. The marijuana located was seized as contraband to be destroyed under this case and the juvenile was given to the custody of his father. All parties were counseled before clearing the call for service.
