WRESTLING RECAPS
■ Thurston had a great performance at the Oregon Wrestling Classic Duals as the girls took first place and the boys took second. Two Colts girls went undefeated at the meet as Kaylee Annis (117) and Kristal Zamora (137) both went 6-0. For the boys Kanoe Kelly (108), Holton Halstead (140), Kolton Malone (147), Braylin Ruchti (154), Sawyer Casarez (172), and Vaun Halstead (222) all went 6-0.
■ Cottage Grove, Creswell, Pleasant Hill competed at the Nick Lutz Memorial Invitational at Siuslaw. For the girls, Creswell finished 4th, CG finished 7th, and Pleasant Hill finished 16th. Chantell Noffsinger (140) came in first for Creswell, Allison Palluck (115) won for CG, and Athena Sprague (155) came in 4th to lead the Billies. In the boys meet, CG came in 5th, Pleasant Hill placed 10th, and Creswell came in 17th. Carter Bengtson (138) came in 2nd for CG, Gavin Haratyk (120) and Gavin Hoellrich (152) took 1st for Pleasant Hill, and Lyosha Mitchell (113) placed 3rd for Creswell.
■ Springfield went to the Southridge HS tournament where the girls finished 10th and the boys finished 13th. Lydia Stewart (115) took 1st for the girls and Michael Owens (145) came in 2nd for the boys.
