Harold Dean Baskette, Jr., 60, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 9, 2022. Harold was born in Cottage Grove to parents Harold and Bernice (Cranmer) Baskette on Feb. 3, 1962.
Harold married Julia Offill on July 13, 2013 in Cottage Grove.
Harold was an expert tree specialist, leading crew members for many years. He held many positions over the years, but he always came back to his roots in tree service.
His favorite things to do was work in the yard and go antiquing with his wife Julia. On the weekends, he and Julia loved going to the coast and flying kites on the beach. When they were done, they liked to pass out kites to children for them to enjoy.
Harold is survived by his wife Julia Baskette and son Paul Baskette of Portland; daughter Michelle Miller of Junction City; daughter Ashley (Scott) Fogle of Waycross, Ga., sister Jeri Lewis of Creswell; sister Glinda Goins of Cottage Grove; and six grandchildren.
A family gathering was held Nov. 19.
