Jerome “Jerry” Dennis Daly, 69, of Springfield, Ore. died at home surrounded by family on Oct. 12 following a courageous three-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Jerry was born Aug. 28, 1953 to John “Mick” and Glendola (Cruchelow) Daly in Chicago, Ill. He married Ruth Durling on July 8, 1989 and she survives.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother James, and sister Janet. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Nora, son Coe, daughter in law Joni, granddaughter Ayla, brothers John and Joseph, and sister Joyce Latham, and many nieces and nephews.
A public celebration of Jerry’s life was held. Donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to PeaceHealth Hospice, 677 E 12th St. in Eugene or to The ALS Association, Oregon and SW Washington Chapter.
