Veterans Day is tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 11, and there are a variety of ways to honor your local veterans this year …
Springfield
■ Free Community Breakfast, 8 – 10 a.m., Springfield Lutheran Church, 1542 I St. Join in honoring local veterans. Breakfast menu: pancakes, eggs, sausage and beverages. More info: Susan Squire 541-747-9391.
■ Springfield VFW Veterans Day Luncheon, 3 – 6 p.m. at the Post, 5344 Main St. Free lasagna dinner for veterans; $3 for non-veterans.
■ Walterville Grange Spaghetti Feed, 5 – 7 p.m. 39259 Camp Creek Rd. Red, white, and blue is the theme to honor veterans.
Creswell
■ Creswell VFW Veterans Day Ceremony, 11 a.m., between City Hall and Fire Station. Ceremony followed by BBQ at VFW Post, 111 S. 10th St.
■ Flag Retiring Ceremony, 4 p.m., Creswell VFW, 111 S. 10th St.
Cottage Grove
■ Cottage Grove VFW and American Legion Veterans Day Ceremony, 11 a.m., Cottage Grove Armory, 628 E Washington Ave.
■ The Hot Spot Cafe is giving away two free made-to-order donuts to veterans, 819 E. Main St., 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
■ Free Car Wash for Veterans at Sud-N-Shine.

THURSDAY, NOV. 10
■ Community Holiday Potluck and Open House, 6:30 p.m. at the Crow Grange, 85994 Territorial Hwy. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. There will be fun activities for the kids, crafts to make and take home, and visits with Santa.

■ Willamalane Park and Recreation District’s Thanksgiving Day event. 8:30 a.m., Lively Park, 6100 Thurston Rd. Celebrate 40 years of running, walking, rolling, and waddling with Willamalane. The flat course loops through a residential neighborhood. Kids 12 and younger are free. Registration is $20 for ages 13 and older.
