Debra Arlene O’Bryant, 66, of Veneta, Ore. passed away Oct. 28, 2022. Debra was born Jan. 11, 1956 in Cottage Grove, Ore. to parents Merl Franklin Clark and Twila Lorraine (Lynd) Clark.
She graduated from North Douglas High School in 1974, then attended Southern Oregon State University and received her associate’s degree in medical technology and business administration.
She worked for PeaceHealth Medical Center for 37 years until her retirement. Debra married Jewell B. O’Bryant on July 6, 1992 in Eugene, Ore. Debra had strong Christian values and her family was everything.
She was like a mother to her nieces and nephews, and best friends with her husband, brothers, and sisters.
She loved to sit on the back porch of her home, to her it was a peaceful place to be.
She loved her chickens and her dog Obie. Debra enjoyed spending time boating, playing in the snow, and traveling with her husband.
Debra is survived by her husband Jewell of Veneta; brother Merl Franklin Clark Jr. of Curtin, Ore.; brother Bryce E. Clark of Curtin; sister Lynda Lorraine Clark O’Brien of Eugene, Ore.; brother Garth Wayne Clark of Springfield, Ore.; sister Treva Joleen Thompson of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. Debra was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a funeral service Nov. 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Olivet Baptist Church, 88150 Second St., Veneta, Ore. A private family Interment will be at Comstock Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, Ore.
