Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Parker of Springfield passed away Oct. 1, 2022. She was 70. Sandy was born Sept. 26, 1952, in Eugene to Clyde M. and Iva L. (Osborn) Shelby.
On May 15, 1970, Sandy married Keith Parker in Springfield. Sandy worked in the office of Brattain Elementary School for 30 years. That is where she met some of her best friends whom she treasured spending time with over the years. Their adventures together included many road trips and birthday celebrations, creating a lifetime of memories together.
Sandy loved gardening and maintaining their beautiful yard, going to garage sales with friends, annual family trips to Lake Tahoe and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Family and friends were extremely important to Sandy. Sandy was extremely generous to all she knew and loved, and always made the well being of others her top priority.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Keith; son, Kyle (Melissa) Parker of Sisters; daughter, Lissa (Sergio) Soler of Portland; sister, Christine (Ron) Scherler of Gresham; brother, Steven Shelby of Crescent Lake; grandchildren, Jack, Micah and Lola. She is also survived by her extended family, Bill Parker, Llona Murphy, Doris Parker, Marci Parker, Alice Steinmetz, Doug & Lisa Collingwood and numerous nieces & nephews.
A celebration of life service was held.
