Taking the oath to serve seriously
When you take a local office you take an oath to uphold that position. I take it very seriously and follow the guidelines put in place by higher elected officials. If you feel they are not good guidelines you should be taking your position to Salem — not trying to rebel at the local level.
I feel I have served this community well and would like to continue to serve.
Homelessness seems to be the hot topic, but there is so much more to holding this office than one issue. My philosophy has always been you need to be able to look yourself in the mirror at the end of the day with a clear conscience.
I’ve always said I’d rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I’m not.
