‘Angels’ demonstrated care, concern for sick animal

Dear Editor:

It’s a wonderful joy when life surprises you!

This week I had the opportunity to meet three angels.

I live alone and found one of my old 19-year-old alpacas going down in the pasture. It was the heat of the afternoon when I found him unable and too weak to get up again.

I tried getting an umbrella and sheet of cardboard to help shield him from the sun and 90-degree heat.

Through my anguish in deciding what to do, I reached out for help and called Creswell New Hope Baptist Church.

People there immediately sent three wonderful men over to help. We moved my animal to shade in the barn. I was so grateful for the incredible help!

Then two days later the men returned to help move him to a truck after his passing.

In a world where sometimes people seem so very selfish and a world that can be negative and scary, these are the angels and those who willingly shared generosity and their own moments to help.

Thank you to Kasey, Josh, and Edwardo from New Hope Baptist Church. I wish to publicly  acknowledge your kindness, for being so very compassionate to an animal and myself – a stranger to them.

So very grateful!

What a beautiful example  of humanity and heartfelt sharing. Thank you!

Sulayla Fuller, Creswell
