Willamalane Haunted Hayride, Springfield. The ride features live interactive performances. This not-too-scary event is great for families with young children. Tickets sell fast, so mark your calendar and sign up early. 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., Dorris Ranch, 205 Dorris St., $12 in-district, $14.50 out-of-district.

Dia de los Muertos Altar Boxes Class, 10 a.m. – noon, Emerald Art Center, 500 Main St., Springfield. Honor your loved one by building a traditional altar box, $30 members/$35 non-members

Dorena Grange Harvest Festival, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., 34360 Row River Rd. Enjoy Chili and cornbread feast, apple cider pressing (bring apples and containers), family activities and games, pumpkin carving contest and live entertainment.
