Larry Ray Williams, 75, of Yoncalla, Ore. passed away at home Sept. 8, 2022, of cancer. Larry was born in Holdenville, Okla. on March 30, 1947, to parents Joseph and Phillis (Blaylock) Williams. After graduating high school, Larry worked for Weyerhaeuser for ten years and then became the custodian for the Drain Elementary School for 21 years. He married Michelle “Mitsi” Haverfield on May 1, 1977, in Cottage Grove, Ore. Larry was an avid fisherman, especially for rainbow trout, at Cottage Grove Lake. He loved to hunt deer and antelope. Larry was skilled at woodworking and created many beautiful pieces of furniture and home décor.
Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years Mitsi of Yoncalla, Ore.; daughter Tamara of Pleasant Hill, Ore.; sister LaRita of Drain, Ore.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held.
