■Cottage Grove has a busy week of non-league matchups ahead, hosting Hidden Valley tonight and 2nd-ranked Cascade on Tuesday. The Lions then travel next Thursday to face Klamath Union. ■Fourteenth-ranked Thurston has a heavy week of travel ahead. The Colts travel to Ashland tonight before heading to the Tualatin Tournament on Saturday. They then face league opponent Churchill away on Tuesday.
■ Thirteenth-ranked Springfield will hit the road three times this week, although two of those are short trips to Eugene. It faces 15th-ranked Mountain View tonight before playing at the South Eugene High School Tournament on Saturday. The Millers then head to 10th-ranked North Eugene on Tuesday.
BOYS SOCCER
■ Cottage Grove has four games this week. The Lions will host Stayton tonight before hitting the road on Saturday to face Cascade. Cottage Grove will then come back for a home game on Tuesday against North Eugene before playing at Klamath Union next Thursday.
■Pleasant Hill has only two games this week, both home games. The Billies face Western Christian/Amity on Monday and then face league opponent Elmira on Wednesday.
■ Creswell hosts non-league opponent Junction City on Monday before hitting the road for its first league game of the year at East Linn Christian Academy on Wednesday.
■Thurston has two away non-league matchups this week. It faces Crescent Valley tonight before heading to Clackamas on Wednesday.
■Springfield has two away games, one tonight at Marist Catholic, and one next Thursday at Corvallis.
GIRLS SOCCER
■ Second-ranked Thurston has only one game this week, a home game next Thursday against 6A 9th-ranked West Salem.
■ Cottage Grove gets its season rolling with a matchup at home last week against Philomath, then comes back to face Stayton. The Lions will then hit the road Saturday to face Cascade, then again Tuesday at 11th-ranked Phoenix.
■ Pleasant Hill hits the road for the first time this season, facing 7th-ranked Sisters tonight. The Billies hit the road again Monday at Elmira before hosting Siuslaw on Wednesday.
■ Creswell has three games this week, starting with a home matchup tonight against La Pine. The Bulldogs then go on the road Monday to face Siuslaw before returning and hosting Santiam Christian on Wednesday.
■ Springfield has two home games this week, tonight against 4A 2nd-ranked Marist Catholic and next Thursday against 12th-ranked Corvallis.
