Creswell airport receives $150K for improvements

CRESWELL – Hobby Field in Creswell will receive $150,000 to install new runway approach path indicators and end identifier lights.

The grant comes after U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley last week announced that some Oregon airports will receive a combined $2.6 million from the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Grant (AIG) and Airport Improvement Program (AIP) programs.

Other airports receiving grants are in John Day, Klamath Falls, Aurora, Newport, Florence, Hood River and Eugene. The money is to go toward crucial safety improvements to runways, weather reporting, snow removal and more.
