■ The local chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association (NARFE) meeting, Sizzler Restaurant on Gateway Blvd. at noon. The program will focus on the upcoming NARFE elections, proposed bylaws, amendments and grassroots advocacy plans for August.

■ Springfield Rotary meet up, 3:30 p.m., at Public House, 418 A St.

THURSDAY, AUG. 11

■ SPRINGfilm: Jurassic Park (1993), 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Richard E. Wildish Community Theater, 630 Main St.

■ K-12 Pickleball Clinic, Meadow Park, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Enroll online, clinic is free.

■ Kids Intro to Stormwater at Springfield Public Library, 1 p.m., 225 5th St. Join Peter Jaeger, a stormwater specialist for the City of Springfield, as he shares a story and fishy activity to demonstrate how each of us can help keep our waterways clean.

FRIDAY, AUG 12

■ The Distance live at Craigs Lucky Logger Restaurant and Bar, 39297 Mckenzie Hwy, 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, AUG. 13 

■ Outdoor fitness classes at Dorris Ranch, 9-10:30 a.m. There will be a warm-up through the orchards then a Willamalane fitness instructor will lead a workout. Healthy and light breakfast will be served. Cost is $6 in district and $7 out of district.

 ■ Hooligans Cars and Coffee, 8-10 a.m. 1660 Centennial Blvd. Springfield. Open to all makes and models.
