H2Oh!

Ever wonder where they got the ‘spring’ in ‘Springfield’?

The Springfield History Museum’s Springfield H2Oh! Exhibit is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Springfield was founded on water. Learn exactly what Springfield’s water systems are, how they work, who maintains them, what role the community has in protecting our water. The exhibit includes several interactive elements, such as a children’s corner complete with a play laboratory, a flash card game on pollution prevention, and takeaways related to water quality. This exhibit is offered in partnership with the City of Springfield’s Development & Public Works Department, the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission, and the Springfield Utility Board.
