Bostwanna Oregon 22 team enjoys the Grove

COTTAGE GROVE – The Botswana Oregon22 team bid farewell to Cottage Grove on July 11t at a special dinner organized by the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. A total of 15 Botswana officials and athletes arrived in Cottage Grove July 6 to spend a week there training and preparing for the World Athletic Championships. As a thank you to the team for choosing Cottage Grove to stay in, Mayor Jeff Gowing arranged a security convoy escort for the team through downtown on July 12 as the city wished the team good luck.
