Obituary: Mitch Anderson

Throughout his 56 years, Mitch Anderson lived a fulfilling life and made countless memories with family and friends.

From the time that he learned of his disease, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, he lived as if every day was a gift.

Mitch met his beautiful wife in 1987 and they quickly fell in love. They wed nine months later and have lived their lives together in Springfield, Ore.

One of the things Mitch and Carla enjoyed was traveling. The vacation spot he loved most was the beaches of Key West but their favorite thing to do was to hop in a car and go for a drive on a sunny afternoon.

He had an appreciation for all classic Chevy cars, although the 67 Camaro was his most beloved car. If you were to ask Mitch what he loved most about life, his answer would always be spending time with his family.

Whether it be a simple day playing with his three grandchildren, enjoying the family’s weekly dinners, or an afternoon with everyone at the coast riding quads.

His most recent dream was to see all his grandchildren enjoy Disneyland, and he did.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Carla Anderson; two kids and their spouses, Tyler and Allie Anderson, Lindsay and Keith Boeshans; three grandchildren, Jackson, Rylee and Emmitt; parents, Curt and Donna Cummings and Gary (deceased) and Lindy Anderson; brother/sister-in-law, Chad and Sandy Cummings; sister/brother-in-law, Tracy and Armand Stevens and family.

Celebration of Life to be held at Northwood Christian Church, 2425 Harvest Lane in Springfield on May 21 at 2 p.m.
