COTTAGE GROVE – On April 8, the 48-year-old former Bohemia School principal and South Lane School District educator died after a lengthy battle with cancer.
An open house to honor her is scheduled for Friday, May 6, from 2-6 p.m. at the Cottage Grove First Presbyterian Church.
The Heather Cunningham Bridgens Endowment was created with the Cottage Grove Community Foundation in her honor.
The goal of the endowment is to raise enough money to make playing sports free for South Lane School District students every year. Tax-deductible contributions will go toward supporting middle school, high school, and youth programs in Cottage Grove for years to come.
