Rick L. Higgins, veteran and longtime Creswell community member, passed away on April 8, the Creswell Veteran Affairs of Foreign Wars Post announced.
Higgins served as a United States Army infantryman and radio operator during the Vietnam War, earning three Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and a Commendation Medal for Valor.
