Gail Delores Lowry, 93, of Creswell, Ore., passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 14, 2022. Gail was born in Lake City, S.D., on Sept. 26, 1928 to parents Daniel Buss and Bertha S. Rust.
In August 1947 she married Donald James Lowry. After they married they lived outside of Creswell on Dillard Road for many years, where they owned and operated a large, 100-acre cherry orchard. Over a period of years they employed many people from the surrounding area to help maintain and harvest the crops.
They had four boys: Dennis, Bruce, Neal and Kevin.
Gail helped manage and run the cherry production business at their home. In 2007, after Donald passed away, she moved to downtown Creswell, where she lived until her death.
Gail enjoyed baking pies, completing word puzzles, playing cards, watching the birds in her yard and being with family and friends. She loved to entertain. She also had her own business for several years – Gail D’s Cleaning Service.
Gail is survived by son Dennis of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; Bruce of Eugene and Neal of Eugene. She is preceded in death by her son Kevin of Creswell; her sister Jean (Genevieve) Blanchard of Montana; her brother Robert Buss of Springfield, Ore.; and her brother Richard Buss of Creswell.
