Letter – Cartographer, climate and puzzles add up!

To the Editor:

In a world of news full of click bait, gossip, and sheer deception, I often find myself wondering where has honest and in depth news about meaningful things gone. The Jan. 6 edition of The Chronicle provided an answer with two fine stories — one by Ron Hartman about the complex mapmaker, Dave Imus, and the second, Dana Merryday’s heartfelt piece about the reality of climate change, delivered the heart, soul and depth often neglected in today’s news outlets. Also, in the same paper I completed the crossword puzzle and the hocus focus with no errors. A great paper day! Thanks to The Chronicle for being willing to dig deeper, stay longer and share meaningful stories with us.
