Paul Andrew Martin was born on Sept. 8, 1948 and passed on Dec. 17, 2021.
Paul is survived by sister Carol Little of Cottage Grove; sister Mary (Chris) Miller of St. Helens, Ore.; son Jack (Deanna) Martin of Lawrence, Kan.; son Craig (Jessica) Martin of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter Christina (Jesse) Seeto of Cottage Grove; grandson Tyler Wells; granddaughter Makenzie Wells; grandson Brayden Wells; niece Diana Dorris; and nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren as well as others.
Paul was born, raised and lived his life in Cottage Grove. In addition to being loved by his family, he was a valuable part of his community. Paul began his career at Bohemia Mill.
He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. Paul received commendations; with diligence, determination, loyalty, initiative, and perseverance, he led others to accomplish maximum achievements with distinct credit. After Vietnam, Paul returned to the mill until retirement.
Upon retirement, Paul brought three new businesses to the community. Paul owned and operated PM Tax Service, CG Classic Taxi, and CG Historical Guns.
Paul was an avid collector of Star Trek and guns, receiving public recognition for both. In addition, Paul received the HERO award from the Portland Trail Blazers. He was given this award for his years of playing Santa Claus in the community, schools and for families who had children with Muscular Dystrophy in honor of his son Shawn.
Paul will be missed by us all, loved and not forgotten.The family will host a Celebration of Life, the date is to be determined.
