Schuck, Osborn complete Creswell council makeover

CRESWELL – Two citizens were appointed to Creswell City Council on Monday, completing a full set of councilors just in time for the new year.

Tammy Schuck and Normajean Osborn will join the council in the new year. Eric Gwaltney had also applied for the position, but withdrew his application prior to the interview. No other citizens applied for the two open positions left by resigned councilors JoeRell Medina, who resigned in September, and Jerri Hutchinson, who resigned in November. Both said they were moving to different states.

Shuck, a real estate broker for Song Real Estate, said that “My biggest contribution can be bringing citizens in and talking about why they should come and voice their concerns and give feedback.”

Osborn, retired, has served on the Park and Tree Advisory Board and said she wants to contribute to the fabric of the community, and that her enthusiasm will help her succeed in this position. “I am willing to jump in wherever needed,” she said.

Schuck and Osborn will complete council orientation in the upcoming weeks. They will be sworn in at the January meeting.
