Barbara T. ‘Barb’ Lee: Aug. 12, 1945 – Oct. 20, 2021

Barbara T. “Barb” Lee, age 76, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 20, 2021 from cancer. She was born on Aug. 12, 1945 to Edward “Ed” and Mary (Hawley) Turner in Hamden, Conn.

Her family moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1951.

Barb graduated from Rincon High School in 1963. She then attended the University of Arizona as an art major and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Barb met her husband, Raymond “Ray” Lee of Creswell while he was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.

They were married in Tucson on June 11, 1966 and moved to Oregon shortly afterward, and lived in Creswell for over 50 years together, where they raised their two daughters. Barb worked as a commercial artist in Tucson, as well as at Sweetland Archery in Eugene where she handpainted custom arrows. She began working at Willamette Poultry (aka Fircrest Foods, and Foster Farms) in the 1970s, and retired from Foster Farms as a Quality Control Supervisor in 2010.

Barb enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Barb is survived by her brother Jim Turner of Tucson, Ariz., her daughters Jana Lee and Susan Lee of Creswell, her three grandchildren Michaela, Dustin, and Garrett, as well as countless nephews and nieces. She was loved by so many people. Please join us at Blue Valley Bistro in Creswell on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 4-7 p.m. to celebrate her life, and share stories and memories of her.
