Edwon Junior Chris Bichsel, age 95, longtime resident of Creswell, went to be with his Lord Oct. 11, 2021, due to complications from COVID.

Ed was born March 23, 1926 in Silverton, OR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris May (Dickinson) of 71 years and son Chris.

He is survived by his children Letha Paille, Stayton, Molly Bedortha, Creswell, Westley Bichsel, Happy Valley, Ruth Bichsel, Cottage Grove, and 8 Grandchildren plus 10 great grandchildren.

During WW II Ed served in the US Navy Pacific Theater as an Electronic Technician and received several medals for his service.

Farmer and skilled millworker, Dad could fix most everything, including farm equipment, cars, trucks, and electronic devices. Dad also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and visiting with folks.

A private family memorial will be planned at a later date.
