Shirley Jean Norris, 75, passed away on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, in Eugene, Ore. She was born in Bremerton, Wash. on Jan. 17, 1946, and lived in Creswell for the past 45 years.
Shirley is survived by her husband Donald Norris of Creswell.
Her siblings include sister Dale Cronin and husband Dale of Albany, Ore.; her brother Jim Nylund of Springfield, Ore. and her sister Janet and husband Vern of Alaska.
Her five children include son Bryan Painter and wife Tina of Corvallis, Ore.; daughter Stephanie Graves and husband Greg of Mesquite, Texas; daughter Kristina Painter of Creswell; daughter Deborah Palmer of Rio Vista, Calif.; and son Tony Norris and wife Angie of Eugene.
Her 12 grandchildren include Morgan, Kennedy, Melanie, Jacob, Zachary, Aaron, Britney, Stacy, Ashly, Brian, Sarah and Chase. Her 18 great-grandchildren include Piper, Taylor, Destiny, Hailey, Cheyanne, Emma, Ella, Wade, Romee, Bentley, Camille, Kaitlynn, Apple, Jocee, Ashton, Avaline, Christian, Oliver and Charlotte.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Christopher Brundidge.
Shirley was a woman of God. A lot of her years were spent serving her congregation as secretary and as a respected member of the church.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her true joy in life.
She loved crafting, playing Bunco with friends, hosting family gatherings, watching sports on television with Don and fixing a meal for her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held at Calvary Chapel in Cottage Grove, 1447 N. Pacific Highway, Cottage Grove, OR 97424 on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
