Robert W. Cooper: Jr. Nov. 13, 1954 – Feb. 22, 2021

Our community lost a dear man on Monday, February 22, 2021 when Robert W. Cooper Jr., age 66, passed away suddenly. Born Nov. 13, 1954 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Robert W. Cooper Sr. and Frances C. Cooper.

Robert “Bob” resided in Cottage Grove until his passing. He was retired from a lifelong career in construction and had a passion for missions and disaster relief, often traveling around the country and beyond to help. He was a God-fearing family man, never missed his children’s sports games or events and always supported and cheered them on no matter what. He was always lending a helping hand and had a caring heart, putting others before himself. There was nothing he couldn’t fix and no one he couldn’t connect with. He had a way of remembering everyone he ever met and was always interested in what people had to say.

His grandkids adored him and he loved nothing more than spending time with them. It was the joy of his life.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors, camping in any season, working on his beautiful property, taking his Harley or Jeep out for a ride and having a good meal with friends and family.

Robert is survived by his partner Kim Copeland; sisters RaDonna Koble and Rosalie Newsome; sons Robert and Jordan Cooper; and daughter Hannah Sanderbrink as well as their spouses and children.

He was preceded in death by his brother James Cooper, sister Delores Jones and parents.

Celebration of life to be held on April 11, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Cottage Grove Calvary Chapel. Everyone who knew him is welcome, it would bless our family to see you there.
