The new Creswell 76 Station on Oregon Avenue has scheduled a grand-opening event on Saturday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The first phase of the Creswell 76 redevelopment and expansion project along Oregon Avenue is complete, with all pumps operational and the expanded convenience store open.
The nearly yearlong effort was not without its challenges – dealing with multiple government agencies, numerous contractors, and all manner of pandemic-related vendor delays.
Now, however, it’s time to party.
Owner Bill Spencer said the station will be playing host to a grand-opening celebration Saturday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“It’s really an opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and supported us through all of this,” Spencer said. “We’ll have balloons and some things to give folks. We want it to be festive and at the same time, we’re asking people not to stay more than 10-15 minutes at the store.”
He said a slideshow will be playing on a loop inside the convenience store for patrons to watch and discuss. Spencer has kept residents up-to-date on the project since early 2020 with regular messages in The Chronicle.
