Ronald Dee Gregory

Ronald Dee Gregory, 68, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2020 of congestive heart failure, after his recent move to Pensacola Florida.

Ronald leaves behind his four children: John, Aimee, Tyler, and Ashley.

Being a father was one of his greatest accomplishments. He was always there for us and taught us to enjoy every moment life has to offer, constantly going above and beyond. We are lucky to have had him to call our father, our best friend, and our teacher throughout life.

He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Alicia, Tucker, Zayden, Nichole, and Freya.

Ronald was born on May 7th, 1952 in San Mateo, California to Dorothy Mae Gregory. Not only was he just one of four boys, but he was an identical twin and loved to reminisce on the hijinx he and Donald would create when they were young.

He moved to Creswell, Oregon where he raised his children and spent the majority of his life. After living briefly in Springfield he made the decision to move to Iowa with his oldest son, before making the move to Florida together.

In Ron’s spare time he loved to find a great spot to cast his line, especially with his kids. His love of the sport will live on through them, as well as his grandchildren who adored him. Usually, the only way to capture a photo of him was to have him proudly displaying his catch of the day. He also loved to work in the garden, listen to classic rock, cook just about the best food you’ve ever tasted, crack a good joke, and just overall enjoy good company.

Always having a great story to tell or wisdom to share, it was impossible to be around him without laughing or being captivated by the conversation.

Whether you needed a good laugh or advice, he was always the person to turn to.

There will be no public service per his requests.

We are missing you, Dad. We’ll see you again one day, so save a seat on the river bank for us.
