Rabbits and Dragons, and mutual admiration

A reader of The Chronicle asked if she and her husband were born under compatible signs. She was born under the sun sign Libra during the lunar Year of the Rabbit, and her husband was born under the sun sign Gemini during the lunar Year of the Dragon.

A Gemini-Dragon and Libra-Rabbit are both wonderful signs, but they don’t move at the same pace.

The Gemini-Dragon is energy, action, and speed personified. His mind moves in several directions simultaneously, sometimes to the extent of excessive talking and lack of focus and details. Gemini-Dragons are not afraid to start new projects, and they will support others, both emotionally and financially, who are willing to work.

A Gemini-Dragon is full of love and a desire to please those he loves and those he works with.

Dragons are very financially focused. They make good investments and have a knack for generating and stockpiling substantial savings, prepared for retirement. Not all Gemini-Dragons are financial wizards in the stock market or in business (although many Gemini-Dragons are), but they take finances seriously and save rather than spend. They are often influential in their circle of friends. Singer Lenny Kravitz, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, actor Cillian Murphy, and Country singer Blake Shelton were all born under the sign Gemini-Dragon.

Libra-Rabbits are graceful and gentle, well-mannered, and they often possess a soft, refined beauty. Libra-Rabbits appreciate hard-working, successful, influential people, and they are attracted to them. Libra-Rabbits are not afraid of hard work, themselves. They admire those who have the ability to approach life in a daring manner, they admire influential people who support and lead others in the direction of success.

Libra-Rabbits appreciate the concept of long-term relationships, and they do enjoy lifelong friendships and the ideal of growing old together; however, Libra-Rabbits often feel confined and a lack of freedom when restricted by commitment. Libra-Rabbits enjoy giving love and enjoy being loved, but they don’t feel content with a partner who expects them to conform to a nine-to-five traditional schedule. Gemini-Dragons require a traditional and predictable schedule to help them balance their active and energetic lifestyle. This could become an area of discontent and frustration.

As long as there is trust in the partnership, and each understands the other’s needs, this could be a wonderful partnership. The goal is to be able to understand themselves before they can understand each other. They will need to work at expressing their individual needs and bolstering trust with quality time spent together. The Libra-Rabbit will need quiet time alone and with friends, and the Gemini-Dragon, who enjoys being with his spouse and doesn’t often want to be alone, will need to understand that he is not being rejected when his beautiful Rabbit feels inspired to explore the lovely world she has designed in her creative mind. Actress Hilary Duff, Rock musician Sting, and fashion designer Ralph Lauren were all born under the sign Libra-Rabbit.
