Carol Juanita Rose

Carol Juanita Rose, 89, of Cottage Grove passed away August 6, 2020. She was born on August 22, 1930, to Donald V. and Helen (White) Hardwick in Los Angeles, California. 

She attended schools in Rosemead, California, and Fresno, California. She received a diploma for secretary at Central California Commercial College in Fresno. She worked many years using her skills in shorthand, typing, and bookkeeping. In 1952 she married Thomas Goodall. They moved to the Monterey Bay area while Tom completed his service in the Army at Fort Ord. After his discharge they moved to Fresno where they were blessed with a daughter, they named Constance Louise. 

However, after many years, they separated. In 1959 she married Dan Rose and they moved to Oregon after son Lester Robert was born and settled on property just north of Medford on the Rogue River. After Dan passed away, Carol lived in Creswell until her death. She was preceded in death by her son Lester, daughter Connie, and grandson Daniel. She is survived by son Larry Cunningham and wife Tawnie of Sparks, Nevada; daughter-in-law Linda Hedgecock of Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren Vince Rose, Elizabeth Rose, and James Rose, all of Vancouver; Cheesy Womack, Kayla Bowan, and Shelby Crow of Reno, Nevada; and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Greenhill Humane Society at 88530 Green Hill Rd., Eugene, OR 97402. Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove.
