COTTAGE GROVE — Vickie Harrison of Creswell uses an electrostatic sprayer to disinfect used on playgrounds and tables in the parks in Cottage Grove. The City recevied COVID-19 funding from the state to help pay for the cleaning program.

The environmentally safe disinfectant spraying is a process that takes between three and five hours. Children are able to use the equipment minutes after disinfection has taken place. The parks are sprayed daily from 1-4 p.m. until the rainy season starts. Playground users are asked to stop playing on the equipment for several minutes during the spraying.
