Spencer T. McGuire Jr. was born June 7, 1943, in Springfield, Oregon, to parents Spencer T. and Clara B. McGuire. He was their first child. He had one brother and four sisters.
He graduated from Springfield High School and attended Lane Community College. In 1964, he married the love of his life, Shirley P. McGuire; they had three sons that they raised in the Creswell/Pleasant Hill area.
They owned and operated a poultry farm.…
