Three deputies have joined the Lane County Sheriff Office’s contract team in Creswell.

Deputy Amy Nixon began her career with the Sheriff’s Office in March of 2017 when she was hired in the Corrections Division. Nixon worked at the Lane County Jail until the fall of 2018 when she was reassigned to work in the Transport Unit moving inmates to and from court, medical appointments, and other correctional facilities.

Shortly thereafter Nixon applied and was selected for a position working County patrol. She loves hiking, running, and being outdoors. But when forced to be inside you can find her reading or listening to music.

Deputy Luke Thomas grew up in Creswell. He’s worked for the Sheriff’s Office since January of 2017 and has been assigned to the patrol division since January of 2019. He recently was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) and enjoyed most aspects of the job. However, helping victims of domestic violence and working DUII enforcement are two of his strongest interests and he said, “I look forward to helping people in my hometown.”

“I encourage people to come down and talk to me about problems in town, as I am always happy to help if I can,” he said.

Deputy Dylan Lemieux grew up in Lane County and said he’s proud to call it home. He has worked for the Sheriff’s Office as a deputy sheriff for five years and is excited to get to know everyone and help keep the community safe. He enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors in his free time.
