LINCOLN COUNTY — A 20-year-old Cottage Grove man died in a car crash around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26 on Highway 101.
Driver Christopher Paschall, 50, of Cottage Grove, and front seat passenger, James Paschall, 20, of Cottage Grove, were traveling northbound when their 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser left the roadway, went over the embankment and crashed into a tree near milepost 152, according to Oregon State Police.
James Paschall, 20, sustained fatal injuries. Christopher Paschall was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor to the crash.
OSP was assisted by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT, Seal Rock Fire, and PACWEST Ambulance.
