CRESWELL – After spending over three decades with Creswell Middle School, principal Shirley Burrus announced she will retire at the end of the school year. She has spent 36 years with the District and 41 years in the education field, Burrus said.
Notice of Burrus’ retirement comes after Adam Watkins, high school principal, announced his resignation in February. Creswell School District is in the hiring process for both the middle school and high school positions.
”The candidate pools for both positions are robust, both in quantity and quality,” Creswell School District Superintendent Mike Johnson said. ”We are very pleased about the response that we have received from people who are interested in joining the Creswell District Team and our great community.”
