GIRLS BASKETBALL: Pleasant Hill is in first place with only one loss, vs. Santiam Christian earlier in the season. The Billies got revenge Feb. 3 when they paid them back, winning 52-45. PHHS has won four in a row and ended Santiam Christian’s six-game winning streak. … La Pine is on a six-game losing streak.
AROUND THE STATE
WRESTLING: Thurston hosts the second OSAA Southern Division Girls State Regional Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. Sixty-six different teams totaling around 200 individual girls are scheduled to attend the Southern Division alone. … Local teams attending include Cottage Grove, Creswell, Elmira/Crow, Lowell, Oakridge, Pleasant Hill, Springfield and Thurston.
