PLEASANT HILL – Retired Colonel Richard Heyman, of Creswell, spent a lengthy career in the United States Air Force, serving in three wars including World War II, Korea and Vietnam. For his dedicated service to this country, Bobbie Sanford of the Quilts of Valor organization presented Heyman with a quilt during the Veterans Day assembly at Pleasant Hill High School. On Dec. 3, Heyman and his wife, Barbara will be interviewed by Pleasant Hill journalism teacher Tim Meinzen’s class about his experience in war.
