John Willard Thorn Jr., 81, of Cottage Grove, Oregon, passed away on Nov. 7, 2019.
John was born March 5, 1938 in Cottage Grove, to parents John W. and Vera (Prior) Thorn.
After high school, John enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Kearsarge. He worked as a logger for Warren Simmons Logging and for the Weyerhaeuser sawmill. He enjoyed fishing.
John is survived by his son, John W. Thorn III.
