• National Prescription Drug Take-Back, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Springfield Police and Drug Enforcement Administration co-sponsored event. Bring your pills for disposal to Springfield Justice Center, 230 4th St., Springfield. No liquids, needles or sharps. Pills and patches only. Free and anonymous disposal for unused or expired prescription drugs.
• Yachats, Halloween Walk, 8 a.m. to noon. Registration and start point: Yachats Lions Club on 4th Street (west of Hwy. 101) in Yachats. No Mossbacks carpools to this walk are planned yet.
