Jacqueline Jane Davis – Nov. 6, 1934 – June 7, 2019
Jacqueline Jane Davis, 84, of Eugene, passed away on June 7, 2019 from heart and kidney disease.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1934 in New Orleans to parents John and Marie (Leidner) Schroder.
Jacqueline completed college, receiving her bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials. She was a middle school and high school teacher who taught mainly Spanish and United States history.
She served in the United States Marine Corps for four months in 1956.
Jacqueline married James Joachim Davis on Dec. 19, 1959 in New Orleans.
She enjoyed genealogy, choreography and dancing, Broadway musical plays, gems and crafts, including card-making and jewelry. She was a member of local historical societies and genealogy groups.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis in May 2001 and by her sister, Rosemary.
She is survived by her daughter, Kateri, of Creswell; son, Christopher, of Washington; son, Tristan, of Arizona; daughter, Nicole, of Arizona; sons, Daland, Darian and Danan, of Washington; brother, Johnny, of Texas; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, with interment at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield, California.
