A fire broke out at a residency on South 10th Street on the eastside of the street in the early afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 4. The fire was called in around 12:10 p.m. Neighbors and onlookers reportedly saw plumes of thick smoke coming from the house, and flames poking out of burned sections of the roof. The occupants of the house reportedly escaped safely. The fire appeared to have ignited the backside of the house, and was reported under control by 1 p.m. There was no other information available by presstime, but more information will be published as it becomes available. South Lane County Fire & Rescue & Pleasant Hill fire departments assisted on the scene.
