Sheriff’s Office seeks assistance identifying driver that struck pedestrian

On Nov. 18 shortly before 1 a.m., the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person lying in the road near the 38600 block of Dexter Rd. in Dexter. Deputies arrived and located an unresponsive 43-year-old female with substantial injuries. Medics responded and the female was transported to the hospital.
Initial investigation indicates that the female was struck by a vehicle, most likely a 2010 to 2013 Mazda 3. The vehicle likely has front and passenger side damage, and possibly a broken side mirror.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the driver and the vehicle that struck the female the morning of Nov. 18. If you have any information about this incident including video surveillance from the area, please call 541-682-4141.
