I am thankful to live in a town where people can make a difference for others. There are churches and organizations helping to feed the hungry: the Creswell Food Pantry, Creslane Food4Kids, New Hope Baptist Church Wed dinner, Church of Christ Sunday breakfast, Creslane/Letter Carriers/Scouts/CMS/ many local businesses holding food drives. The Creswell Library is expanding, with plans to provide even more activities and meeting space for our community.
So many nonprofit organizations that support the youth, bring the Fourth of July festivities, the Christmas craft fair, light parade, breakfast with Santa, and so much more.
I’m thankful for our City government for the support they provide Community Food for Creswell, leasing space so affordably for the Creswell Food Pantry and a future Community-use Commercial Kitchen! I’m thankful for farmers and gardeners who bring produce and eggs to the Food Pantry year-round. We live in a very special rural community, where we can reach out for help and we can reach out to give help.
Thank you Creswell. Happy Thanksgiving!
— Susan Blachnik, Creswell Food Pantry
I am thankful for life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the kindness of strangers and the freedom of the press. I am thankful for all volunteers, including the ones that grow in my garden.
