Community Blessings – Joel Higdon

I am thankful for community. Creswell is a community that at its core is a caring and friendly place. A place that makes it easy to call home.
You especially witness the caring and heart of Creswell this time of year. It is when we draw together as a community and give so much. A fine example, is when we answer that call to help give a warm meal to those in need. When the call is put out for a food drive in our local schools and by our local groups that call is soundly answered. We care for each others well being. When our neighbors needs help, we help.
Creswell’s friendliness especially shines through during our local events, those times when folks pull together and celebrate. Whether it’s the Creswell Fourth of July Celebration or the annual Tree Lighting Event our friendliness is unwavering, one can feel it in the air with every gesture of hello and greeting.
Foremost tho, I am thankful for family. My family is the well from which I draw love and support. It is that love and support that gives me the strength to be me, and for this I am truly grateful.
