Community Blessings – Alan Bennett, Creswell Chiropractic

We had the ultimate challenge this year, with my wife’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, and finally her passing on Oct. 26. Not only that, but my mother passed away on April 21, and our dog went to doggie heaven on May 4. It has been by far the worst year of my 56-year ride on this planet. So, despite these horrible events, what am I thankful for? I am thankful for the outpouring of love and support from this wonderful community. Creswell-area churches, our office family, my fellow Kiwanis Club members, patients, local business people and community members all prayed for us, rooted for us, fed us and did their best to will my beloved Tamara back to good health.
Sadly, that didn’t happen. My daughter Bailey – whom I like to call ”Tamara 2.0” – and I have had our world turned upside down. But that in no way diminishes the love directed our way from so many. I don’t know what the future holds for us, but we will always be extremely appreciative for the support and thoughtfulness of this community. The people of ”The Friendly City” have absolutely lived up to this motto. For that we are truly thankful.
