Nelson P. Woodland, 87, passed away on July 13, 2018 at his home in Creswell, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 4, 1931 in Burley, Idaho to Ezra A. Woodland and Leona V. (Nelson) Woodland. He attended Creswell High School, where he graduated in 1949, and was the student body president. He was also an eagle scout.
Nelson served in Korea in the United States Army Infantry in 1952. When he returned from Korea, he married his sweetheart, Ruby Jean Perkins, on June 7, 1953 . . .
