Title transfer a success!

Dear Editor,

The board members of Creswell Heritage Foundation thank all those who attended the Title Transfer Ceremony last Thursday. We were very pleased with the turnout and the demonstration of support for our project of restoring the Old Schoolhouse.
We especially thank Mayor Dave Stram and City Administrator Michelle Amberg for their gracious handling of the transfer details. We thank the City Council for their faith in our success as demonstrated by transferring ownership to us along with a generous gift of $55,000. Finally, we thank Creswell Bakery for providing cupcakes for our event. It was a very nice touch.
As we approach grantors for funds, we will need to show that we have local support in the form of volunteer time, donated materials and cash. Paul Birch presented us with a $50 bill and put out a challenge to other supporters to match it.
To take up that challenge, send your donation to Creswell Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 1092, Creswell, OR 97426. We will maintain a list of First Supporters and hope to have 100 First Supporters to report to grantors.
If you would like to receive occasional updates of our project, you may sign up as an Interested Person at [email protected].
Thank you, Creswell.
