Mervol ‘Keith’ Kerr

Mervol ”Keith” Kerr passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 10, 2018 at the age of 90, surrounded by family and friends.
Keith was born Dec. 7, 1927 just outside of Creswell to James Travis Kerr and Verna Valentine Dersham.
He was a master builder, hunter and outdoorsman. He was a lifelong resident of Creswell, active in the life of his town.
Keith was briefly a soldier at the end of World War II, where he earned the Victory Medal.
Keith was a volunteer firefighter, served three terms as a city council member and was on various committees for both city and school benefits.
He is survived by his wife Wilma of 60 years, sons David and Robert, daughters Patricia and Karen, two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Marvin and Vernon and a granddaughter, Kayln Gordon.
A private family inurnment will be at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove.
